Executive Vice President of Finance
About the role
The Indiana University Foundation seeks a strategic, collaborative leader to serve as Executive Vice President of Finance during a pivotal period of organizational growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership, overseeing long-term financial planning, forecasting, capital allocation, and organizational sustainability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the President, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors on financial strategy, investments, risk, and major organizational initiatives.
- Lead treasury, accounting, budgeting, compliance, fund accounting, enterprise risk management, and financial reporting functions.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance organization while advancing operational excellence, financial literacy, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with executive leaders to modernize business processes, integrate AI-enabled financial tools, and support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field required; MBA, master's degree, and CPA strongly preferred.
- Fifteen or more years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least five years in an executive-level role.
- Significant experience within higher education, healthcare, or another complex nonprofit environment, including expertise in endowment accounting and UPMIFA.
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional financial and operational initiatives while influencing executive and Board-level decision making.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with a commitment to ethical stewardship, collaboration, and innovation.
Pay
Hiring range of $325,000–$350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
