Executive Underwriter - Commercial Property

Role Overview

The role involves underwriting large commercial property risks across the US open market, managing and growing a profitable portfolio, and developing and strengthening relationships with key broker partners.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Large Commercial Property risks across the US Open Market.
• Manage and grow your own profitable portfolio with significant underwriting authority.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key retail and wholesale broker partners.
• Drive new business while maintaining a high-quality renewal portfolio.
• Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to the continued growth of the Property team.

Requirements

• 6+ years' Commercial Property underwriting experience.
• Strong background in Large Commercial Property.
• Experience within the E&S / Surplus Lines market is advantageous.
• Established broker relationships and a proven ability to generate new business.
• An underwriter who enjoys autonomy, taking ownership, and making commercial underwriting decisions.
