About the role

The role of a Specialty Sales Executive Team Leader provides opportunities to:

• Drive total store sales and understand contributions to store profitability.
• Create a guest-first culture and lead a team to prioritize guest experience and meet sales goals.
• Manage workload and adjust schedules to align with guest traffic and business needs.
• Understand and leverage competitor insights to drive business objectives.
• Manage a team of hourly team members and leaders, developing strategies and goals.
• Build a team of consultants knowledgeable in Apparel and Accessories, Beauty and Electronics.
• Lead backroom processes, ensuring product availability and engaging fitting rooms.
• Plan, lead and follow-up on organizational changes, anticipating trends and staffing needs.
• Coach and develop team members to improve skills and expertise.
• Provide a service and shopping experience that meets guest needs.
• Address store needs and maintain a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive total store sales and understand your role in sales growth.
• Create a guest-obsessed culture and lead your team to prioritize the guest experience.
• Manage your team to effectively plan merchandising and pricing workload.
• Know and assess the competition and leverage insights to drive business objectives.
• Manage a team of hourly team members and leaders, creating business-specific strategies and goals.
• Build a team of consultants knowledgeable in Apparel and Accessories, Beauty and Electronics.
• Lead A&A, Beauty and Electronics backroom processes, ensuring product availability and engaging fitting rooms.
• Plan, lead and follow-up on organizational changes, anticipating trends and staffing needs.
• Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends.
• Manage staffing needs and recruit both long and short-term.
• Develop and coach your team and Team Leaders to elevate their skills and expertise.
• Lead team onboarding, learning and help close product knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
• Provide a service and shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
• Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).

Requirements

• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
• Interpret instructions, reports and information.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays).
• Regular attendance necessary.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Manage conflict, lead and hold others accountable.
• Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis.
