About the role

The Executive Team Leader Service & Engagement (Assistant Manager Front End) at Target, Alameda, CA, is responsible for leading a team of Guest Advocates and Service and Engagement Leaders to exceed guest service expectations. This role requires a strong understanding of guest service fundamentals, problem-solving, and retail business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Build a team of passionate and knowledgeable Guest Advocates and Service and Engagement Leaders who focus on guest interaction and service recovery
  • Drive total store sales and understand how your departments and team contribute to store profitability
  • Anticipate staffing needs, recruit, and manage a team to meet service and sales goals
  • Engage in development conversations and personalize recognition to reinforce critical guest service behaviors
  • Manage schedules to support peak traffic times, key events, and weekends
  • Ensure a smooth guest pick-up experience and stay updated on promotions and events
  • Lead the team to deliver a hassle-free guest experience
  • Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to manage conflict and hold others accountable
  • Relate well with all levels of the organization
  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision-making, financial and quantitative analysis
  • Learn and adapt to current technology needs
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team

Qualifications

  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first team culture
  • Skills in guest engagement, problem-solving, and resolution
  • Understanding of retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, and pricing and promotions strategies

Pay

The pay range for this role is $83,200.00 - $130,000.00, based on various factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

Schedule

The role requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
