Responsibilities
- Consistently delivers guest experience commitments
- Holds TLs accountable to deliver exceptional guest experiences through consistent accountability, team development, training and recognition
- Reviews area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify gaps and understand team behaviors
- Manage the Food & Beverage team and operations to drive store sales, demonstrating how you, your team and your departments contribute to and impact total store profitability and operational excellence
- Proactively build relationships with vendors and oversee Team Leaders’ management of vendor performance
- Own the scheduling plan with support from your Team Leaders based off of monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic
- Lead an efficient operation that supports a great guest experience along with speed and efficiency
- Develop a strategy and utilize your workload planning tools to manage all scheduled workload ensuring you are guest ready at all times
- Oversee Food & Beverage Team Leaders’ workload planning, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling and promotions
- Proactively plan for and execute merchandising and promotional strategies regarding holidays and events through close planning with Team Leader(s)
- Manage your team to uphold and maintain all Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards (where applicable)
- Foster a productive relationship with your Starbucks district manager and follow up on key takeaways from their time in your store
- Actively develop, coach and train your team; anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit – both long and short term; manage performance reviews and support team member and leader onboarding
- Develop and coach your team to elevate their skills and expertise
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management of operations and reporting
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences
- Become a subject matter expert in federal, state and local adult beverage laws as they apply to your business and protect your store’s liquor license (if applicable)
- Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment
- Lead an instore security culture by focusing on deterrence, response and resolution in order to improve physical security processes
- Lead merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices
- As a key carrier, implement all safe and secure training and processes
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs
- Regularly assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food and beverage business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to manage conflict, lead, and hold others accountable
- Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
Qualifications
- Access all areas of the building to respond to the guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations if needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions where common allergens may also be handled or present
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
