SABG is seeking an Executive Support staff member to support the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, VA. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining records, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Preview staff packages and documentation to ensure compliance with standards set forth in HQ Operating Instruction 33-3, the Tongue and Quill, and other related staff guides.
  • Communicate the Principals’ direction to staff officers in coordination with government leadership, as required.
  • Monitor progress on staff action items, track progress against suspense deadlines, prepare periodic reports on action status, and keep the principals aware of late, pending, or new actions.
  • Manage records generated during the execution of the principal’s projects and programs in accordance with statute, regulations, military directives, and instructions.
  • Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers, and other materials based on the principal’s direction.
  • Demonstrate working familiarity with typical HQ staff packages and documentation, including Electronic Staff Summary Sheets (eSSS), “buckslips”, memoranda, and official letter correspondence.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications proficiently.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3–7 years of relevant work experience serving in a headquarters (HQ) staff element.
  • Working familiarity with typical HQ staff packages and standard HQ task and correspondence coordination tools, including Enterprise Task Management System (ETMS-2) and Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other standard computer applications.
  • Experience working successfully with senior executives at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to foster stable and productive working relationships, communicate expectations, and promote cooperation.
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills with strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments while maintaining high levels of performance and support.
  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.

  • Job duties are performed in a manufacturing/office environment utilizing standard office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, and telephone.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Pay

Salary range: $90,000 – $105,000. Compensation is determined based on the role’s requirements, education, certifications, skills, experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Final compensation is based on the specific qualifications and circumstances of each candidate.
