You will serve as a trusted medical expert, connecting clinical insights, research, and commercial objectives to support informed decision-making and patient-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Medical Affairs expert for assigned therapeutic areas, providing scientific leadership and strategic guidance across internal and external initiatives.
  • Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies, scientific programs, field engagement plans, and key opinion leader (KOL) strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, thought leaders, patient advocacy groups, professional organizations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate, compliant medical and scientific support through presentations, scientific exchanges, stakeholder discussions, congress activities, and educational initiatives.
  • Create, review, and refine scientific content, medical communications, presentations, and clinical materials while supporting medical, legal, and regulatory review processes.
  • Support publication strategies, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and congress materials to advance scientific understanding and communicate clinical evidence.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of disease states, clinical data, therapeutic areas, and relevant scientific developments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons, Scientific Communications, HEOR, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Business Development teams.
  • Translate scientific and clinical insights into actionable strategies that support customer engagement, education, and appropriate product adoption.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and expertise within a matrix organization while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field required; MD, PhD, or PharmD strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working within the breast cancer therapeutic area required.
  • Deep expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, clinical research, scientific communication, and healthcare stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate clinical research design, methodologies, data interpretation, and scientific outcomes.
  • Proven experience developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies, KOL engagement plans, scientific communication programs, and tactical initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to solve complex problems while managing risk.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and collaborating with commercial, marketing, sales, and global stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, commercially relevant insights and strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
