About the role
You will be part of the Global Safety and Security team, reporting to the Security Sr Manager of Executive Security Services. The role involves delivering and supporting the global safety and security strategy, mitigating risks, and executing various security services.
Responsibilities
- Delivering security services to Capital’s global leaders
- Managing security contractors, overseeing external relationships, and ensuring office safety and security operations
- Handling security incident response, internal case management, and investigations related to workplace violence, threats, theft, and fraud
- Leading the associate travel security program and collaborating with travel vendors for global visibility and intelligence
- Providing travel safety briefings, risk assessments, and addressing travel concerns for senior leaders
- Assisting with event security risk assessments and on-site event support
- Collaborating with regional security teams and Capital’s Global Security Operations Center
- Coordinating with internal colleagues and stakeholders across various departments to address safety and physical security risks
- Maintaining knowledge in current and emerging policies, practices, and technologies affecting the department
- Implementing new technologies and methodologies as business needs evolve
- Evaluating new or modified systems, processes, and products against internal security standards
Requirements
- A minimum of 7+ years in a corporate security or government role with a focus on executive protection, program management, security operations, travel safety, and event/incident monitoring and reporting
- The ability to work/cover on-call responsibilities and react to emergencies as they occur
- Experience with incident response, crisis management, workplace violence investigations, and maintaining control under stress
- Professional travel experience and the ability to travel on short notice
- The ability to coordinate with internal colleagues and stakeholders across various departments to identify and implement solutions to mitigate safety and physical security risks
- Knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the department/business area
- Proficiency in security system management, including intermediate system architecture and advanced operational functions and security best practices
- The willingness to take initiative, prioritize projects, and solve problems with little supervision, while maintaining control under stressful situations
- Experience with open source and subscription-based monitoring tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to present both in groups and individually
- Sound judgment to independently handle and advise on a wide range of issues and strong relationship management
- The ability to manage deliverables independently and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle simultaneous priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree, advanced degree preferred
- Law enforcement experience, especially within Southern California
- EP Training Certification
- First Aid / Medical Certification
- Evasive / Defensive Driving Certification
- Demonstrated history of safe driving with a clean DMV record
