About the Role
Provide confidential, professional, and highly organized administrative support to the Superintendent and School Board Members in a public-sector environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain calendars, appointments, correspondence, and daily priorities for the Superintendent and School Board Members.
- Coordinate and assist with board meetings, district and special events, including those scheduled outside of normal business hours.
- Prepare and disseminate agendas, meeting materials, notices, invitations, presentations, and other communications.
- Act as Board Clerk, attend and participate in all board and committee meetings.
- Maintain accurate meeting minutes and official records, ensuring compliance with Louisiana public meeting laws, notices, agendas, and procedures.
- Create marketing materials, invitations, flyers, programs, and other visual communications.
- Communicate effectively with staff, board members, vendors, community partners, and the public.
- Anticipate needs, independently resolve challenges, and take initiative to keep projects and responsibilities moving forward.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting an executive, superintendent, CEO, or elected official.
- Experience in a school district, government, or public-sector environment.
- Experience preparing official meeting minutes and knowledge of Louisiana public meeting laws.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content creation platforms.
- Experience creating professional graphics, print marketing, and promotional materials.
- Experience with meeting and event planning and coordination.
- Excellent proofreading, editing, and document preparation skills.

Pay
Starting salary: $34,094
