Work Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, Maryland. This position is expected to be performed onsite at WRNMMC.

Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance Requirements: Unclassified position. Must satisfy TIER II/non-critical sensitive background investigation/suitability requirements and CAC/network access requirements, as applicable.

About the role

This full-time position manages the Publications & Issuances Program and associated document lifecycle activities supporting Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The Program Manager will oversee document development, coordination, review, compliance, tracking, repository management, version control, archiving, templates, training, metrics, and related Executive Secretariat functions. The position may also provide surge support for Executive Secretariat correspondence, records, forms, and related administrative requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Publications & Issuances Program.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of official publications and issuances.
  • Coordinate document development, staffing, reviews, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and organizational requirements.
  • Track publications, issuances, correspondence, and related actions.
  • Maintain document repositories and version-control processes.
  • Manage records, archives, and document-retention activities.
  • Develop and maintain templates and standardized documentation.
  • Provide guidance and training related to publications and issuances processes.
  • Develop metrics, reports, and program-status information.
  • Provide surge support for Executive Secretariat correspondence, records, forms, and related activities.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership, subject matter experts, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support timely completion of executive-level requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent qualifying experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of executive-level Federal and/or military support experience.
  • Experience with correspondence management and task-tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of Department of War/Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency administrative processes, as applicable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with government databases and SharePoint.
  • Strong program-management, organizational, and document-control skills.
  • Experience coordinating high-level reviews and approvals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$66.49 per hour

Schedule

Working hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and authorized Federal facility closures. Working hours are subject to change at the base's discretion. Occasional after-hours support may be required for contingency operations, exercises, or other mission requirements.
