Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for each event, including risk assessments, security staffing requirements, and emergency response strategies.
- Select, train, and supervise security personnel. Ensure all security professionals are fully briefed on their responsibilities and the specifics of each event.
- Coordinate with external agencies such as local law enforcement, emergency services, and private security firms to ensure a coordinated approach to event security.
- Ensure all security activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with the latest in security technology and procedures to enhance safety measures.
- Serve as the primary contact for all security-related incidents. Lead the resolution with minimal disruption to the event, and ensure Security Leadership maintains awareness.
- Communicate event security information effectively and securely to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security management role.
- Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written) and be able to interact with internal customers/leadership and external partners.
- Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating with private security and law enforcement agencies.
- Proven critical thinking under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated/self-starter.
- Influencer – Must have the ability to interact and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions on appropriate security resources.
- Adaptability.
- Solid Computer Skills – working with MS Office suite.
- Must be able to respond to matters and issues off regular work hours.
- Problem Solver – Must have the ability to solve problems to ensure sufficient security and safety strategies are applied.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel (domestic & international) as needed.
