HybridProject Management$5/hrFull-time

About the role

An Executive Producer leads Salt's largest and most complex projects. Where a Senior Producer leads a project, an Executive Producer leads the production — owning financial performance, serving as the senior client partner, and guiding cross-functional teams through the highest-stakes work the agency takes on. You are agile, decisive, and comfortable with ambiguity. You know when to zoom out and when to get close.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning for large-scale, multi-faceted productions from concept through final reconciliation
  • Own the financial outcome of the production, including profitability, margin strategy, and reconciliation accountability
  • Simultaneously lead a large production and provide oversight across other projects, acting as a senior production resource leadership relies on across the portfolio
  • Work within tight timelines, manage challenging work back schedules and lead complex decision making
  • Serve as the senior client partner on major productions — present for executive-level conversations, navigating political sensitivity and high-pressure environments with calm and clarity
  • Work with directors and creative teams to provide strategic input and ensure the project vision aligns with client and brand expectations
  • Define and maintain Roles & Responsibilities for the project team and partner agencies
  • Oversee risk management on projects, creating risk mitigation strategies for complex challenges
  • Manage large-scale productions and prioritize multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle
  • Work with project finance and operations teams to monitor and successfully reconcile budgets to ensure internal financial goals are met
  • Participate in Salt company-wide meetings including ongoing process training and improvement, company culture, and monthly updates
  • Bring collaborating agencies together to deliver premium work
  • Lead effective production audits and production schedule reviews
  • Maintain regular meetings with individual team members (e.g., workstream leads and direct reports) and promote individual growth and development
  • Manage full-time (non-project) staff at Salt, including ongoing company management, employee development, employee growth, and company culture
  • Travel both domestically and internationally as required
  • Work on-site and in person

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Hands-on experience managing budgets ranging from $5,000,000 to $15,000,000
  • Confident proposing next steps and leading a team from strategic thought through execution
  • Well-rounded experience in various facets of event production [Logistics, Fabrication, Graphics, A/V, Furniture & Decor, Food & Beverage, etc]
  • Understanding of both B2B and B2C business and able to forecast potential challenges on a project in advance
  • Embody integrity and character, transparency and accountability, leading by example
  • Understanding of the creative process for large-scale events
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations and adept at conflict resolution with teammates, vendors and clients
  • Ability to kindly hold all parties accountable to deliver a great finished product
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Approach projects as an opportunity to create premium work and develop client relationships and strong teams

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Google Docs and Slack
  • Passion for the experiential marketing world, keeping up with news about successful projects globally

Salt Core Values + You

Redefine the Rules: Creative and production working collaboratively from the start because a great idea is only as good as how it’s brought to life. Logistics and aesthetics go hand in hand. Deliver experiences that go beyond the ask.

In Search Of: Tackling challenges is our favorite pastime. Obstacles are plot twists. Creative thinkers and problem-solvers who always find a way forward with curiosity and determination, exceeding expectations and turning client asks into unexpectedly brilliant results.

Expect More, Get More: Hold ourselves to higher standards, always looking to elevate each project. Push until time runs out. That extra 10% is where we surpass the competition, delivering results beyond what clients could imagine.

Compassion is Culture: Powered by extraordinary humans, dedicated to cultivating an environment where company success is tied to team success. Combat burnout with inspiration, motivation, and genuine support. Without fun, work sucks.

You Are

A Strategic Powerhouse for High-Value Projects: With 10+ years of experience and a history of managing $5M–$15M budgets, you are the ultimate anchor for large-scale, intricate productions. Thrive under the pressure of tight timelines and complex workback schedules, possessing the agility to translate high-level goals into flawless execution across both B2B and B2C landscapes.

A Master of Client & Conflict Diplomacy: A trusted partner to both the Account team and the client. Navigate high-level relationships with ease, balancing brand expectations with creative reality. Deliver sensitive strategic updates and resolve cross-functional conflicts with integrity, character, and a focus on long-term partnership.

An Inspiring Mentor and Culture Leader: Believe that premium work is only possible with a unified team. Dedicated to the growth of Salt’s people — managing full-time staff, fostering a sense of belonging, and holding all parties accountable with a "can-do" attitude that prioritizes the people and the process as much as the final result.
