Executive Producer
Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas. These stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week and leverage viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for national content.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Executive Producer to lead the overall editorial content, strategic direction, and daily execution of multi-platform news coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong news background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for storytelling across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of content creators and manage the daily operations of the newsroom, including scheduling, assigning staff, and coordinating station events and community projects.
- Copyedit stories for several shows and ensure timely delivery of news content.
- Collaborate with the News Director and other managers to develop and implement newsroom policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work closely with reporters, anchors, producers, and other staff to develop and execute compelling and accurate news content.
- Monitor and analyze news content, ratings, and audience feedback to make data-driven decisions about coverage and programming.
- Represent the newsroom and station at community events, meetings, and public forums.
- Participate in training and mentoring newsroom personnel to ensure professionalism and excellence in news production.
- Lead the production and development of content for digital streaming and manage both the digital stream team and linear team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in broadcast news.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in newsroom software and social media platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules and deadlines.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000–$115,000 annually, with the final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
