Executive (Perishable Sourcing)

About the role

Identify and source perishable items such as vegetables, fruits, and fish from local markets, farms, and direct suppliers across Bangladesh.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sourcing at the most competitive price while maintaining quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, wholesalers, and suppliers to create multiple sourcing options.
• Ensure all sourced items are fresh, hygienic, and meet company standards before delivery to outlets.
• Regularly visit local bazaars, farming fields, and wholesale hubs to identify the best sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate with farmers and wholesalers to secure the best deals for bulk purchases.
• Ensure on-time delivery of products to outlets or distribution points.
• Maintain proper records of sourcing, pricing trends, and supplier details.
• Provide regular updates to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager.
• Work in different regions of Bangladesh as per company needs to ensure supply coverage.

Requirements

• Up to 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply management.
• Skills in supplier sourcing, strategic sourcing, ingredient sourcing, supply management, procurement processes, supplier management, sourcing strategies, and supplier development.
