Executive Pastor - Spout Springs Church

About the role

The Executive Pastor will join the full-time Lead Pastor and a small team of close-knit staff to provide strategic guidance and implement effective church systems.

Responsibilities

• Envision a desired outcome and guide the team through a planning process.
• Build and/or monitor a system that informs next steps to achieve the intended results.
• Identify leadership potential in others and apprentice them through character competencies.
• Teach the truths of God’s Word and apply them effectively.
• Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with various ministries to accomplish specific results.
• Manage emotions, words, and behaviors in a way that honors God and strengthens the team's health.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field or at least 3 years of professional pastoral experience.
• Prior pastoral experience and a graduate seminary degree are preferred.

• Experience interacting with the congregation through social media and other forms of communication.

Benefits

• Starting salary range: $50,000 - $57,000, negotiable based on qualifications and credentials.
• Health care benefits for the Executive Pastor and family, including any children under 25.

Salary: Starting pay is $50-57,000. This is negotiable based upon the qualifications and credentials of the candidate.

About Our Church

Spout Springs Church is a small to medium-sized church located in Cameron, NC, serving a large percentage of current and former military families due to its proximity to the Fort Bragg US Army base. Founded in April 2006, the church is staff-led and elder-protected with the Lead Pastor being accountable to the elder board. We are also a part of the Southern Baptist denomination. The church focuses on encouraging spiritual growth in four areas (the EPIC steps): Encountering God, Pursuing your Mission, Investing and Inviting, and Connecting to Equip.
