About the Role

Act as the medical expert and leader with external collaborators (regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups) and internal partners across Research, Global Medical Affairs, and Marketing. Shape clinical development strategy and drive execution of clinical trials while collaborating closely with the Global Program Head, Research, Early Clinical Development, Global Medical Affairs, Marketing, and HEOR.

  • Build and defend data-driven clinical strategies with scientific rigor and creative problem-solving, both internally and with external partners
  • Design innovative First-in-Human and Phase 2/3 programs that are smaller yet robust, shortening development timelines amid an evolving regulatory landscape
  • Drive consensus across multi-disciplinary, matrixed clinical teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Partner closely with the Global Program Head to define the optimal development strategy for the cell therapy portfolio
  • Lead and develop a team of MDs and clinical scientists to meet personal and business goals
  • Serve as a clinical role model, bringing scientific rigor and creative thinking to hematology clinical research

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent required; MD/PhD strongly preferred, with fellowship training in Hematology or Oncology preferred
  • 6-8 years of industry experience in related therapeutic area clinical development; cell therapy drug development experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record across leadership roles, including work with senior clinical development staff and established credibility with external collaborators such as opinion leaders and regulators
  • Substantial drug development experience, including both IND and BLA/NDA submissions
  • Experience leading study start-up and execution, including data cleaning, medical review, database locks, and health authority responses
  • People management experience is a plus

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $390,000.00 - $527,600.00
