Executive in Residence (Financial Services)

Plan A Technologies is a global software engineering and technology advisory firm with team members across 40 countries. The company delivers software development, AI transformation, technology modernization, and CIO/CTO advisory services to Fortune 500 companies, startups, and government organizations.

About the role

This six-month executive residency is designed for senior technology and financial services leaders who have held positions such as SVP, EVP, Managing Director, or C-suite executive. The role combines strategic technology advisory with business development, helping financial institutions navigate technology transformation while expanding Plan A Technologies' presence across the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Advisory
  • Advise clients on complex technology initiatives, including:
    • Legacy system modernization.
    • Core banking transformation.
    • AI adoption.
    • Regulatory technology and compliance.
  • Provide executive-level technology guidance to existing and prospective clients.
• Business Development
  • Leverage an established network to introduce Plan A Technologies to:
    • Banks.
    • Hedge funds.
    • Wealth management firms.
    • FinTech companies.
    • Private equity firms.
    • Insurance providers.
    • Payment processors.
  • Identify strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
• Strategic Growth
  • Advise executive leadership on financial services market trends.
  • Help shape the company's technology consulting and advisory offerings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience within the financial services industry.
• Previous experience in a senior executive role (SVP, EVP, Managing Director, or C-suite) at a major financial institution or similar organization.
• Extensive professional network across banking, FinTech, payments, insurance, hedge funds, wealth management, and private equity.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Software development lifecycles.
  • AI transformation initiatives.
  • Modern FinTech technology stacks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable contributing to both strategic advisory and business development activities.

Pay

£150 per hour. Commission based on revenue generated through business introductions.

Schedule

6-month executive residency. Approximately 10–20 hours per week.
