Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of students. Meets with students 1:1 on average 2 times per week to provide executive functioning training and academic coaching.
- Communicates with student’s faculty, campus support offices, and family as needed.
- Provide drop-in executive functioning coaching on rotating basis.
- Provide weekly seminar instruction, workshops on study skills, executive functioning strategies, and independent living skills.
- Collaboration with the Office of Disability Services to ensure students are registered to receive academic accommodation.
- Support and collaborate with Graduate Assistant(s) also providing similar supports to students.
- Attend University Admissions events, information sessions, conferences, and resource fairs on behalf of On Your Marq.
Other Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field required. A minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Detail-oriented, experience providing case management or executive functioning support, effective at managing conflict, strong listening skills, effective time management and problem-solving and information-gathering skills, ability to function independently, creative thinker, strong compassion and support for neurodiverse young adults and their families and friends.
- Master’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred. Knowledge of and 1-2 years of experience working with neurodiverse adolescents and/or adults. Experience working with those who may become behaviorally dysregulated or have co-occurring mental health concerns. Basic understanding of college accommodation process.
