Executive Function, Study Skills & Learning Coach (In-Person) - Manhattan or Brooklyn, NYC
The Ladder Method is seeking an in-person Executive Function, Study Skills, & Learning Coach in Brooklyn, NYC. This is a part-time position, approximately 12-15 hours per week, with hours varying based on the nature of requests.

Our work focuses on helping students strengthen organization, planning, time management, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, study strategies, and confidence. We partner closely with families to provide individualized support that empowers students with learning differences to become more independent learners.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized coaching to middle school, high school, and young adult students with learning differences
- Teach executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, time management, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation
- Develop and implement study strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Build meaningful, supportive coaching relationships while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
- Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with families
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to high standards of professionalism
Requirements
- Must reside in Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree or higher preferred)
- Executive Function coaching experience required
- Prior teaching, tutoring, counseling, or educational coaching experience preferred
- Experience supporting students with learning differences
- Experience working with students attending New York independent or private schools strongly preferred
- Experience working with high-net-worth families is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (NYC/Brooklyn - Subway is acceptable)
- Availability on weekday afternoons and evenings, plus one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
- Available approximately 12–15 hours per week
Graduate students pursuing Master's degrees in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

- LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or similar counseling backgrounds (clinical licensure not required unless applicable)

Pay
Compensation is competitive and based on education, professional experience, and coaching expertise. The highest compensation levels are reserved for candidates with advanced degrees and extensive experience in executive functioning, learning support, or educational coaching.
