About the role

Play a central role in strategic planning processes and assist in the development of assessment tools to track progress toward strategic planning goals. Provide support and analysis for the purpose of successful completion of University/School initiatives and to inform leadership in the deliberation and creation of strategies for institutional improvement. Coordinate resources with the senior leadership and staff to ensure maximum support for major projects. Develop and coordinate organizational effectiveness efforts, including goal deployment and performance measures. Manage the activities of external consultants, assisting with matters of institutional and leadership profile-building and external partnerships. Coordinate external reviews of academic units, which include recruitment of reviewers, synchronization of schedules, preparation of pre-review materials, and compilation of reviewer assessments. Provide guidance to the senior leadership on business development matters and advise on opportunities for coordination with other ongoing efforts of the University/School. Compile information to prepare high-level reports and complete surveys/questionnaires. Represent the University/School at various civic and community events and on workgroups and committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s or doctorate degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience working in an administrative leadership role in a comparable field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a management/leadership role.
  • Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.

  • Thorough knowledge of position requirements, applicable regulations, and laws.
  • Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts.

Pay

$200,000 - $230,000, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt regular staff. Day shift.
