Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director, Principal Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to drive growth across the New Jersey market within our Middle Market Banking segment, serving companies with annual revenues of $100 million to $500+ million. This is an opportunity for an accomplished commercial banker with a strong presence in New Jersey to build deep client relationships, acquire new business, and serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, sponsors, and financial decision-makers. This individual will leverage an established network and deep market knowledge to expand Wells Fargo's Middle Market franchise throughout New Jersey while delivering the full breadth of the firm's commercial banking capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, retain, and grow highly complex client relationships through relationship management, understanding client needs, responding quickly, communicating proactively, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to guide and influence others in growing relationships.
  • Lead highly complex and substantial cash flow, real estate loans, and other industry-specific solutions with enterprise impact by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution for the full suite of complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to meet significant client needs across multiple areas of the enterprise.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding Commercial Banking Relationship Management strategies that influence the organization's business and financial operations.
  • Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers to improve processes, resolve client issues, and represent the company externally as an expert; mentor less experienced colleagues.
  • Drive relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines.
  • Lead and support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients by cultivating relationships through existing networks.
  • Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision and expertise on client and market needs for large-scale companywide strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • Proven success developing and growing commercial banking relationships with companies generating $100 million to $500+ million in annual revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new client relationships and deliver sustained revenue growth in a highly competitive market.
  • Established network of business owners, CEOs, CFOs, private equity professionals, attorneys, accountants, and other influential centers of influence throughout New Jersey.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking and corporate banking products, including commercial lending, treasury management, capital markets, and risk management solutions.
  • Ability to structure and discuss complex financing solutions, acquisition financing, syndicated credit facilities, and treasury strategies with executive leadership teams.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience partnering across product, credit, and risk organizations to deliver sophisticated client solutions.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and delivering integrated banking solutions to larger, more sophisticated companies.

Job Expectations

  • This position requires on-site presence at one of the New Jersey offices: Paramus, Iselin, or Marlton.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Pay

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
