About the role
The Executive Director of Talent Strategy is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent strategy that ensures the organization attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing operational and corporate workforce. This position leads enterprise-wide initiatives that align talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employer brand strategy with the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term workforce needs. The Executive Director partners closely with executive leadership, department leaders, and human resources to build a sustainable talent pipeline, strengthen organizational capabilities, and position the organization as an employer of choice.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing an enterprise talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational growth and workforce priorities.
- Conducting and managing recruitment process, ensuring efficient, equitable, and high-quality hiring practices.
- Establishing innovative sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-caliber talent.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with industry associations, educational institutions, professional organizations, workforce agencies, and community partners.
- Leveraging recruitment analytics to improve time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, candidate experience, and recruitment ROI.
- Ensuring compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Leading enterprise workforce planning efforts to anticipate current and future talent needs.
- Creating workforce dashboards and predictive analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Aligning workforce planning initiatives with organizational strategic and operational plans.
- Leading the organization's employer branding strategy across digital and social media platforms.
- Developing campaigns that strengthen the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Partnering with marketing team to ensure consistent employer brand messaging.
- Utilizing social media, digital recruiting platforms, and emerging technologies to enhance candidate engagement.
- Monitoring employer reputation through candidate feedback, online reviews, and engagement metrics.
- Analyzing digital marketing and recruitment analytics to continuously improve employer brand effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Five to seven years of mortgage industry experience in a talent role at an independent mortgage bank, account executive or client experience role at a mortgage technology vendor or mortgage insurance company.
- Experience using workforce analytics and data to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience leading digital recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives.
- Experience managing organizational change and workforce transformation.
