Executive Director Marketing and Communications
About the role
The Executive Director of Marketing & Communications has the primary responsibility of developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for TSCRA and its related entities. This position manages staff, contractors, and budgets related to the position functions and has the authority to exercise discretion and independent judgment in fulfilling any responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Essential functions include:
- Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies for TSCRA and its related entities.
- Oversee communications across print, digital, video, social media, and other platforms.
- Manage content developers, designers, and other individuals related to marketing and communications efforts.
- Manage all social media platforms and planning for TSCRA and its related entities.
- Be the lead for all news media inquiries and responses, press release preparation, and news media relationships.
- Manage the production of print and digital efforts, including but not limited to The Cattleman magazine, website, podcast, and blog.
- Train and prepare TSCRA spokespersons for presentations and news media interviews.
Additional functions include:
- Contribute to content development (writing, designing, producing) when necessary to ensure quality control and timely execution.
- Be the lead for all crisis and emergency management communications.
- Establish and maintain processes, systems, and workflows to ensure cohesive operations within TSCRA and its related entities to align with the priorities of TSCRA.
- Support other TSCRA departments and entities.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in the Fort Worth office (preferred).
- Must be able to work during customary workday/work week and other days as needed.
- Must be able to travel as needed.

Qualifications
A four-year college degree from an accredited college or university and completion of necessary training and/or certifications are required.

Reporting and Status
The Executive Director of Marketing & Communications reports to the Executive Vice President/CEO and is an exempt, full-time position.
