Executive Director - Home Health
About the Role
Responsible for the day-to-day management and overall direction of assigned branch(es) and/or program(s), ensuring the organization’s purposes are carried out effectively. Directly oversees branch(es) and/or programs to meet all applicable Federal, State, and local laws regarding certification and licensure. Responsible for long-range planning, fiscal viability, and quality of care provided by the branch. Recruits, interviews, and hires staff while measuring and monitoring quality care and organizational performance. Assists other disciplines in coordinating activities to ensure continuity, appropriateness, and quality of services delivered. Delegates authority appropriately and works to achieve coordination across all aspects of BrightSpring Health Services programs. Implements and maintains the budget of the assigned area/region and directly manages leadership staff within the designated location(s).
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and directs all functions of location(s) within a designated area/region.
- Serves as a resource to the leadership team regarding community needs, personnel needs, financial needs, and changes in Federal and/or State regulations affecting the company.
- Ensures all records and reports required by the State are completed, reviewed, and submitted.
- Provides overall supervision of all staff within the designated area/region and supports location leaders.
- Ensures orientation, evaluation, continuing education, and compliance training for all staff are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with the Support Center to secure contracts for services not directly provided by the company, ensuring quality patient care.
- Monitors and oversees approved budget(s), ensuring adequate space, equipment, and supplies are available.
- Provides oversight to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and utilization of services for comprehensive patient care.
- Develops and implements programs to educate physicians, medical staff, patients, and community members about home health and/or hospice services in collaboration with Sales and regional support staff.
- Maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, and physicians.
- Handles employee corrective action and discipline issues fairly and objectively, in consultation with the Human Resources Department and the Director of Operations.
- Directs the hiring and training of personnel and coordinates with Recruiting/Human Resources regarding staffing needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate, Baccalaureate, or Master’s School of Nursing or other applicable field of study in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, clinical specialty, or equivalent home health or hospice experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an Administrator or equivalent leadership role within a community health organization, home health, and/or hospice company.
- Progressively responsible supervisory duties within the past 6 years.
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in the state of operation.
- Ability to educate, lead, and inspire others.
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
- Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare program development principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid, accreditation agency standards, and managed care/private insurance plans.

Pay
Salary Range: USD $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
