Executive Director, Global Finance

For our client, we are seeking a Executive Director, Global Finance to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will guide the global finance strategy and operating model supporting international market entry, from initial planning through launch. The role will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable processes, strengthen controls, and ensure smooth interim support for newly established markets. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $252,000 – $315,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the global finance strategy and operational model for market entry from planning to launch Act as interim finance lead for new markets post-legal incorporation until local staffing is established Collaborate with finance leadership to define and execute priorities for scalable finance operations Drive strategic change initiatives across Finance functions and ensure stakeholder alignment Own and enhance the global finance launch playbook, including key operational frameworks and processes Facilitate critical negotiations with executive leaders and external stakeholders Define and govern finance policies and processes for international operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency Qualifications 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience managing complex global finance operations CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification required Experience in a public company with a SOX-controlled environment Proven ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and manage critical external relationships Strong project and program management skills for navigating complex scenarios Hands-on approach with a focus on practical controls leadership, especially in early-stage operations Preferred experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry Benefits Flexible remote work options Robust equity awards as part of total compensation Strong learning and development opportunities for professional growth Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
