Responsibilities
- Serve as the operational risk enablement partner for regional business unit heads, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Translate enterprise frameworks and regulatory requirements for regional application, ensuring alignment without altering enterprise standards
- Deploy regional teams to assist business units in executing risk assessments and coaching practitioners to enhance capabilities
- Lead implementation of enterprise control standards across assigned regions and oversee monitoring and evaluation of controls
- Cook up regional training and community of practice initiatives to promote an operational risk culture and knowledge sharing
- Monitor regional regulatory developments and manage incident responses, ensuring early engagement with regulatory bodies
- Ensure timely and quality integration of regional risk data into enterprise reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operational risk management or related functions within financial services or insurance
- 5+ years of experience in people management in regional or matrixed environments
- 5+ years of experience specifically within the insurance or reinsurance industry
- 3+ years of experience navigating multiple regulatory contexts and cultural frameworks
Pay
- $126,710 – $188,840 annually
