Executive Director, Enterprise Data

About the Role

Join Regeneron’s fast-moving Enterprise Data & AI organization as the Executive Director of Enterprise Data. You will ensure the integrity, accessibility, and governance of our enterprise data assets, structuring and governing proprietary scientific and clinical data to enable AI at scale. This role involves building foundational data capabilities, including quality standards and a semantic layer for consistent data definitions across the company. You will report to the VP of Enterprise Data & Information Management and help transform Regeneron’s data into a key AI advantage.

Responsibilities

• Enforce enterprise data quality standards, translating policy into day-to-day operating procedures.
• Lead master data management and data cataloging to keep data assets inventoried and accessible.
• Own and run the enterprise semantic layer, ensuring consistent data definitions across functions and AI systems.
• Build and maintain the enterprise business glossary and taxonomy.
• Lead development of knowledge graph infrastructure to support advanced AI and scientific work.
• Design and deliver a federated, AI-ready data ecosystem across domains.
• Maintain GxP-compliant data standards to keep regulated pipelines audit-ready.
• Own data privacy and security standards across the enterprise data estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree required for certain scientific or clinical positions).
• 17+ years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, or data architecture.

Skills

• Proven experience building data foundations that enable AI and analytics at enterprise scale.
• Deep, hands-on experience with data governance, master data management, and metadata management.
• Ability to operate as both strategist and technical leader in federated data architecture and semantic layers.
• Understanding of how data governance intersects with regulatory, clinical, and commercial requirements.
• Stay current on the AI data landscape, including vector databases, knowledge graphs, and RAG.
• Experience partnering with distributed engineering teams, including global delivery models.
• Strong communication and influence-building skills across technology, business, science, legal, and regulatory teams.
• Passion for developing data engineering and governance talent across disciplines.

Schedule

4 days a week on-site in Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $255,000.00 - $424,900.00.
