Executive Director (Cosmetology School) - Rochester, NY

About the role

As the Executive Director, you will provide strategic leadership across all operational, educational, compliance, and administrative functions within the School. You will work closely with both cosmetology students and staff to ensure an exceptional educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all school operations
• Active participation in the student admissions and enrollment process
• Direct management of students, staff, salon clients, and community partnerships
• Conducting orientations, advising students, completing classroom observations
• Maintaining student and staff records
• Addressing any issues related to school operations

Requirements

• 5-8 years of combined work experience and education as outlined below:
• Management experience is required and operational management experience is preferred.
• School leadership experience in a post-secondary environment is a plus.
• Proven ability to effectively lead a team, manage budgets, and achieve operational goals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing accreditation and/or compliance is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and execute established policies and procedures.
• Experience with student admissions/enrollment is a bonus.

Qualifications

• A Vocational Diploma, or an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is $85,000.00 - 100,000.00.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility that may include working two evenings per week and two Saturdays per month.
