About the role

The Housing Authority of Conway, SC seeks an Executive Director. The agency operates with a budget of approximately $3.0 million and employs a total of 25 employees, including 28 full-time equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the operations of 258 Public Housing Units, 373 Housing Choice Vouchers, and 58 Section 8 New Construction units.
• Work with the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, which consists of 5 members.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Housing Authority, including maintenance, repairs, and tenant services.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of life for residents.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders and partners to enhance the effectiveness of housing programs.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Finance, or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience in the administration or management of public housing or for-profit affordable housing.

• Candidates with exceptional academic or experience backgrounds that compensate for an academic or experience deficiency may still be considered.
