About the role

The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) is seeking an exceptional Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization advancing sustainability across the global pet industry. This role involves shaping the industry by convening competitors, inspiring collaboration, and accelerating measurable environmental and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Position PSC as the leading sustainability authority and trusted convener for the global pet industry
  • Strengthen member value through community-building, innovative programs, and measurable outcomes
  • Expand strategic partnerships across industry, NGOs, academia, and government
  • Lead a high-performing organization with operational excellence and financial discipline
  • Increase PSC's visibility through executive thought leadership and industry influence
  • Diversify revenue through membership growth, strategic partnerships, and mission-aligned funding opportunities
  • Partner closely with the Board while empowering staff to execute with excellence

Requirements

  • Senior executive leadership experience in sustainability within consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or related sectors
  • Experience leading organizations through growth and change
  • Board governance experience
  • Outstanding communication and public speaking skills
  • Track record of building strategic partnerships
  • Pet industry experience preferred

Pay

$150,000 to $175,000, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday.
