About the Company
The Circuit has been the premier non-profit Information Technology Association for the Greater Cincinnati region since 1996. They serve as the connecting point for all things technology, providing members with industry education and opportunities to connect and collaborate. The organization continually develops new programs and events to address the evolving interests and gaps identified by its members and works closely with other regional groups. The Circuit is seeking a new Executive Director to lead a small team and work with the board of directors to expand its impact and growth within the region.
About the Role
As the outward-facing leader, the Executive Director is responsible for expanding The Circuit’s impact, membership, sponsorship revenue, and strategic partnerships across the regional technology ecosystem. This role owns growth, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with CIOs, technology leaders, sponsors, universities, and partners to ensure The Circuit remains the trusted hub where IT professionals connect, learn, and advance.
Responsibilities
- Executive Leadership and Operations Management
- Collaborate with the board to set and align the overall strategy for The Circuit.
- Review and recommend events and programs to ensure they meet members' needs.
- Monitor the budget and financials to maintain sustainable operations.
- Analyze and recommend modifications to membership tiers/fees and sponsorship levels.
- Engage, mentor, and develop Circuit staff to support their growth.
- Work with staff to ensure the success of initiatives, events, and member programs.
- Sponsorship & Revenue Growth
- Articulate the ROI and community value of The Circuit’s programs and events to sponsors.
- Build and maintain a strong sponsorship pipeline.
- Identify and engage new sponsors while renewing and expanding relationships with current sponsors.
- Membership & Community Expansion
- Act as a visible ambassador in the Cincinnati IT ecosystem.
- Serve as a sought-after panelist, speaker, or moderator on regional IT topics.
- Build relationships with CIOs, CISOs, founders, vendors, and educators to foster meaningful connections.
- Grow individual and corporate memberships.
- Strategic Partnerships
- Develop partnerships with vendors, other IT/technology organizations, and universities.
- Identify emerging needs and opportunities for programming.
- Bring voice-of-community insights back to the board for strategic planning.

- Experience in business development or community engagement.
- Able to sell value without being transactional.
