About the role
The Executive Director oversees the day-to-day operations of our modern, 65-apartment assisted living facility. This role ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures while providing strong leadership in property management, personnel administration, and resident services. Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of policies and procedures relating to resident care.
- Supervise and assist in providing all resident services, including coordinating those provided by independently contracted ancillary health care providers as requested by residents and families.
- Conduct assessments, negotiate service plans, develop service schedules, and update service information based on resident needs.
- Ensure residents are appropriately assessed on a timely basis and charged accordingly; meet with residents and designated agents to review evaluations and charges.
- Assist residents in participating in self-governance activities through Resident Council and committee meetings.
- Act as an advocate for residents and maintain communication with designated agents as requested and required.
- Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction at the residence.
- Serve as the 24/7 on-call contact; arrange appropriate coverage when absent and ensure prompt correction of adverse findings from company audits and state surveys to maintain compliance.
Requirements
- Maintain an administrator license or certification per state requirements.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Sufficient education or experience to meet position requirements or as mandated by state regulations.
- Meet all mandatory health requirements as specified by state regulations.
- Maintain CPR/BLS First Aid Certification as required by state regulations.
- One year of supervisory experience is required.
- Experience managing a program or residence for older adults is preferred.
