About the role
The Executive Director serves as the senior operational and cultural leader for Marquis MD's concierge medical practice. This role is accountable for the Member and patient experience, center operations, physician partnership, service standards, membership growth and retention, team culture, and financial performance. The Executive Director brings a hospitality mindset to healthcare, ensuring every interaction feels personalized, anticipatory, discreet, responsive, and warmly coordinated. This is an In-Center leadership role requiring consistent on-site presence and schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends as needed to meet Member needs and uphold the Marquis MD standard.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations for the assigned Marquis MD location, including patient flow, scheduling, administrative coordination, clinical support operations, membership workflows, and service delivery.
- Serve as the internal ambassador for the Marquis MD experience, ensuring every interaction reflects personalization, discretion, warmth, responsiveness, and trust.
- Design and reinforce concierge service standards, signature touchpoints, welcome protocols, follow-up expectations, service recovery moments, and personalized Member preferences.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary team across clinical, administrative, membership, hospitality, and patient experience functions.
- Partner with physicians, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, and Shared Services to drive operational execution, membership growth, retention, patient loyalty, and brand awareness.
- Own key performance metrics, including Member satisfaction, retention, renewals, growth, provider engagement, financial performance, operational efficiency, and service recovery outcomes.
- Represent Marquis MD in the community with executive presence, polished professionalism, discretion, and a relationship-driven approach to referral sources and strategic partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, concierge medicine, executive health, private practice, premium wellness, membership-based services, luxury hospitality, private clubs, or other high-touch service environments.
- Proven success leading operations with financial and operational accountability, including budgets, forecasting, P&L performance, revenue growth, KPIs, and operational metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, build culture, develop talent, and create accountability around patient service, operational execution, and performance.
- Strong ability to create premium patient, client, guest, or Member experiences through personalization, anticipatory service, service recovery, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Executive presence, high emotional intelligence, polished communication, sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism required.
- Ability to maintain a visible In-Center leadership presence and remain accessible during evenings, weekends, and other non-traditional hours as business and Member needs require.
