About the role

The Executive Director provides visionary leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the fulfillment of Homewood Living Martinsburg's mission through excellence in care, service, and stewardship. Homewood Living Martinsburg is a vibrant Life Plan Community serving more than 350 residents and employs a dedicated team of over 250 professionals. The Executive Director reports to the Homewood Living Ministries' Chief Operating Officer and serves as a visible ambassador of the organization's ministry and values. This role fosters meaningful relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners, while advancing the long-term sustainability and ministry impact of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides visionary leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the fulfillment of Homewood Living Martinsburg's mission through excellence in care, service, and stewardship.
  • Reports to the Homewood Living Ministries' Chief Operating Officer and serves as a visible ambassador of the organization's ministry and values.
  • Fosters meaningful relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Advances the long-term sustainability and ministry impact of the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful leadership in a similar role.
  • Experience in life plan communities, senior living, or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and dynamic team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, social work, public health).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a leadership role in a senior living or related field.
  • Experience in strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in senior living and healthcare settings.
