Executive Director

About the role

The Executive Director serves as the CEO of the community, overseeing the planning, direction, and implementation of all programs and policies while ensuring efficient and effective administration and execution of the company business plan. This role includes responsibility for marketing and public relations to maintain occupancy goals, ensuring resident satisfaction and achievement of realistic care plan goals, coordinating resident service activities, and handling hiring, training, and scheduling of community staff. The Executive Director also guarantees the community operates in substantial compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, direction, and implementation of all programs and policies.
• Ensure efficient and effective administration and execution of the company business plan.
• Lead marketing and public relations activities to maintain occupancy goals, including evaluation and admission processes.
• Ensure resident satisfaction and achievement of realistic care plan goals, coordinating all resident service activities.
• Handle hiring, training, and scheduling of community staff.
• Maintain substantial compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Model and enforce the organization’s core values across the community.
• Drive and sustain a sales‑focused culture.
• Oversee the general well‑being and health of residents, including coordination of care and oversight of nursing and care staff.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels with the right personnel in the right places.
• Identify, reward, and coach top performers while supporting performance improvement for others.
• Manage all required paperwork for the Department of Social Services, Health Department, and corporate regulations.
• Conduct direct marketing in the community for resident acquisition, services promotion, and staff recruitment.
• Act as the responsible party before, during, and after formal licensing inspections.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record and ability to drive a company vehicle as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet all current State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities (and any amendments).
• Two years’ post‑secondary education required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in senior housing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality.
• Demonstrated integrity, maturity, and leadership skills.
• Understanding of State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations.
• Acceptable driving record (required driver).
