About the role

The Solano Transportation Authority (STA) seeks a visionary Executive Director to lead the agency serving one of Northern California's fastest-growing regions. Reporting to STA's Board of Directors, the Executive Director will guide a highly collaborative organization, shaping mobility and quality of life for more than 450,000 residents.

Responsibilities

• Guide a highly collaborative organization, shaping mobility and quality of life for more than 450,000 residents.
• Lead the agency in transportation planning, programming, and project delivery.
• Navigate complex political environments with integrity, including at least four years at the director level (or equivalent).

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a related field (master's preferred).
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience, including at least four years at the director level (or equivalent).
• Strong background in transportation planning, programming, and project delivery.
• Proven fiscal stewardship and consensus-building skills.
• Experience in leading a collaborative organization.
• Track record of navigating complex political environments with integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (master's preferred).
• At least ten years of progressively responsible experience, including at least four years at the director level (or equivalent).
• Strong background in transportation planning, programming, and project delivery.
