Executive Claims Specialist, Remote
About the role
Crum & Forster is seeking an Executive Claim Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role involves managing a portfolio of claims from the Security Profit Center, operating under appropriate levels of supervision, and reporting to a Manager, Director, or Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify claims assignments, determine coverage applicability.
- Interpret and write reservation of rights and declination of coverage letters.
- Determine investigation methods and extent for each claim.
- Manage and evaluate outstanding claims, ensuring adequacy and timeliness.
- Evaluate and adjust claims within authority limits.
- Assess risk transfer potential and develop necessary information.
- Report on technical matters to supervisors or management.
- Evaluate and handle litigated claims, determine disposition methods.
- Consult with managers on claims requiring additional assistance or exceeding authority.
- Evaluate recovery potential and develop necessary information.
- Communicate with customers regarding C&F's claims capabilities and specific needs.
- Ensure equitable and prompt adjustment and management of assigned claims.
- Provide superior customer service throughout the claims handling process.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years' litigation experience handling complex general liability claims.
- College degree required; law degree preferred; designations and/or insurance-related courses are beneficial.
- Obtain and maintain required state licenses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Occasional travel required.

Pay
The annualized base pay for this position ranges from a minimum of $95,600.00 to a maximum of $179,600.00, depending on various factors such as market pay, job responsibilities, and individual performance. The actual compensation is determined by these factors and may include discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
