Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and train kitchen personnel.
- Research market trends to develop creative menu selections and concepts.
- Establish the day's priorities and assign production and preparation tasks to staff to execute.
- Requisition the day’s supplies and ensure that they are received and stored correctly.
- Ensure that staff report to work as scheduled; document any late or absent employees.
Requirements
- Degree from a reputable Culinary School or College.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures.
- Professional cooking and knife handling skills.
Working Conditions
This role requires being on your feet for extended periods. You may need to carry/lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend/twist, climb stairs, and work on slippery floors. Must accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
