About the Role
As the Executive Chef at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG), you will be a hands-on leader, working the line and fostering staff development to create a positive experience for both staff and guests. Your role is crucial in achieving P&L goals and overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including problem resolution and effective communication. As an ambassador for Indigo Road, you’ll embody Internal Hospitality and strive to create memorable experiences through food.
Responsibilities
- Champion internal hospitality and lead the team in crafting dishes that leave lasting impressions.
- Nurture a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Home Office leaders to maximize kitchen operations.
- Ensure quality control, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Manage labor, budgets, forecasts, and ensure financial goals are met.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in kitchen management and menu creation.
- Dedication to serving both team members and guests.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for cooking, not a "clipboard" chef.
- Experience working with local farmers to source fresh, quality products.
- Strong understanding of finances, labor management, quality control, and problem-solving.
