What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and develop the culinary team, creating a strong and accountable kitchen culture
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety
Oversee food cost, inventory, and budget performance
Manage hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
Build and maintain schedules that support operational needs
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Partner on menu planning, special events, and resident-focused dining experiences
What You Bring
- 2+ years of culinary experience (culinary training preferred)
- At least 1 year of leadership experience (2+ years in food service management preferred)
- Knowledge of state dietary regulations and food safety standards
- A genuine passion for serving seniors and enhancing their dining experience
Executive Chef – Additional Qualifications
- 5–10 years of kitchen leadership experience
- Background in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant environments
- Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations
- Strong standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification
- Experience with menu development balancing flavor, nutrition, and cost
- Familiarity with special diets (low sodium, diabetic, heart-healthy)
- Proven labor management and scheduling skills
- Strong inventory control and cost management experience
- Ability to train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
- Hands-on leadership presence during service
