About the role
The Executive Chef 1 oversees daily food production, orders, inventory management, and catering operations at Lausonne Collegiate School, an independent, coeducational college-placement school in Memphis, TN.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for culinary training of staff members and execution of catered events
- Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, are implemented
- Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are met
- Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems
Qualifications
- Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Management Experience: 2 Years
- Minimum Functional Experience: 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
