Location (Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060. Job Summary Provides administrative support in a variety of functions to the Provost focused on increasing the efficiency of the Office of the Provost. Reviews, prioritizes, directs and delegates a wide variety of complex and confidential requests that are presented to the Provost for consideration. Summarizes, prioritizes, and researches information into a concise and usable format for the Provost to review. Responds to or routes priority or confidential inquiries from external or internal sources with correspondence or other messaging on behalf of the Provost. Creates or directs creation of reports, charts, budgets and other presentation materials and coordinates high level projects, travel arrangements, and meetings. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibility for the Provost's schedule to including vetting meeting requests, requests to speak and appearances. Brief the Provost for meetings and events Greet all guests to the Provost's Suite and offering hospitality as appropriate Coordinates logistics for meetings and arranges catering as needed Coordinate with the Director of Presidential Initiatives to conduct research and develop material to provide the Provost with background information to prepare the Provost for meetings Develop an engagement/outreach system to quickly identify appropriate internal or external sources to respond to requests for information for the Provost Coordinate with the Chief of Staff at the request of the Provost and schedule of the Office of the Provost to ensure proper briefing and coverage for the Provost Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions and reports to determine significance and appropriate distribution Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Business or related field OR equivalent combination of experience and education Required Experience Seven (7) years of experience in an administrative role, with at least three (3) years of experience supporting senior executive level employees Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education Abilities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Professional demeanor to represent the Office of the Provost with internal and external stakeholders and constituencies Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines KNOWLEDGE Develop and possess an understanding of protocol requirements and interactions of the Office of the Provost Skills Strong writing skills to engage in campus and community outreach on behalf of the Provost Communication skills to engage with internal divisions to develop responses from the Provost to requests or concerns from external stakeholders Must demonstrate initiative and independent judgment Strong project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) Strong attention to detail and strong organizational and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette USG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 25 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
