Executive Assistant
About the role
The Executive Assistant directly supports the Vice Provost of Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure effective administration of the Division of Enrollment Management and Offices of Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Admissions.
Responsibilities

- Serves as a Veterans Administration (VA) School Certifying Official
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Solid analytical / problem-solving skills.
- Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.
- Strong service orientation.
- Strong skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni / donors, students and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
- Able to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Solid skills in problem identification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA.
- Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal and State of California veteran education and work benefits.
- Familiarity with US Department of Veteran Affairs Enrollment Manager online platform.
- Advising and counseling skills.
- Understanding of the principles of California’s Master Plan of Higher Education, with particular emphasis on the unique roles played by each segment.
- Knowledge of UC / UCI admissions requirements, administrative areas, academic programs, curricula, and policies related to military-connected student benefits.
