Position Summary
Is responsible for the administrative support functions which assist Vice Presidents and above in fulfillment of various duties. Independently functions to complete high-end and complex duties in a well-organized and timely manner. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Requires knowledge of John Hopkins and departmental policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides wide range of complex office administration and support to the highest ranking members of the health system
- Serves as principal administrative contact and liaison with all hospital constituents and external contacts
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Develops, implements and administers departmental policies and procedures and office systems; interprets and communicates policies and processes
- Serves as principal contact and source of information for customers of the department
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Manages complex calendars; arranges for meetings, appointments and travel plans
- Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
Qualifications
- BS/BA with no experience or Associate Degree with 2 years’ directly related experience or HD diploma/GED with 4 years of directly related experience
- Project coordination and database management experience
- Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures with knowledge of MS office
- Proficient in English language (read, write, speak)
