About the Role

The Executive Admissions Representative will engage prospective students in consultative conversations to understand their objectives and provide tailored solutions to help them enroll in career-focused online programs at American Public University (APU). This role serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and guides them through the enrollment process, including document collection, transfer credit evaluation, degree planning, payment options, and matriculation.

This is a full-time remote position requiring fluency in both English and Spanish. A skills proficiency test will be part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for prospective students considering enrollment at APUS.
• Engage prospective students via phone and email to discuss their educational goals and facilitate enrollment.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and effectively relate to prospective students from diverse backgrounds.
• Conduct consultative conversations to assess student needs and showcase the benefits of an APUS education.
• Present tailored solutions to students and facilitate enrollment based on their needs.
• Meet and exceed targeted goals and metrics as provided by department leadership.
• Act as a concierge, connecting students to appropriate departments for document collection, registration, funding, transfer credit, and degree solutions.
• Provide regular follow-ups to prospective students promptly and efficiently using phones and electronic communication.
• Protect student privacy through compliance with federal student privacy laws (FERPA).
• Evaluate academic records and documents of prospective students for admission to APUS.
• Manage and update prospective student information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other software applications.
• Collaborate with co-workers and other departments, such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and the Registrar.

Requirements

• 5 years of online admissions experience working with adult students in a sales-oriented or consultative role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding metrics.
• Self-driven and comfortable making multiple outbound calls per day to generate interest, qualify students, and drive the enrollment process.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Salesforce knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong phone presence.
• Passion and enthusiasm for helping and empowering others to succeed.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed as an individual contributor and meet deadlines.

Schedule

This full-time remote role may require working a variety of shifts, including:

• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday (EST).
• 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM on Saturdays (EST).

A high-speed internet home connection and a dedicated workspace are required.
