Role Summary/Purpose
In this role you will provide executive administrative support to Synchrony’s EVP, Chief Technology Officer. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and computer (Microsoft Office) skills, and the ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Serve as a trusted partner to the CTO, helping manage priorities, anticipate needs, and ensure effective use of the executive’s time.
This role requires a in-person presence to effectively support the EVP, Chief Technology Officer. The successful candidate must be able to work onsite in Stamford and flex their schedule as needed to align with the executive’s priorities, meetings, travel, and stakeholder commitments.
Essential Responsibilities
- Interact with employees, customers, Synchrony Board of Directors and outside advisors in a professional and efficient manner
- Effectively use computer and company software programs with strong emphasis on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (for appointments/email) and Concur for T&E
- Plan & create meetings and manage busy and complex calendars (including frequent calendar shifts)
- Arrange for complex travel plans and events and prepare/reconcile T&E and Purchase Card reports; Travel (book on-line flight reservations and coordinate all travel/meeting logistics)
- Process invoices and ensure timely vendor payments
- Cook up activities and meetings, planning for on-site and off-site events; includes coordination with outside parties
- Design and create presentation and proposal packages with some graphical content, as needed
- Ensure documents are posted accurately and timely in preparation for meetings/conference calls
- Maintain strong awareness of Technology organization priorities to proactively support meetings, events, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement
- Attend staff/team meetings as required
- Manage purchase order processing
- Build strong relationships across internal executive admin networks
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- 7+ years in an executive administrative role, specifically supporting C-suite level executives
- Ability to work onsite in the Stamford office to support E VP schedule
- Experience coordinating large meetings/events and executive visits
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate needs, and work independently with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a polished, professional presence
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgment
- Proactive problem solver

Our Way of Working

You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
