Job Summary

Responsible for providing advanced, diversified, and confidential clerical and administrative support for direct reports to the CEO of Core & Main or LOB Presidents.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

  • Serves as department knowledge center - assists with resolution of customer-related problems or issues, screens all internal/external calls appropriately and provides information and answers to questions regarding department/company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares documents, memos, general correspondence, reports, and other materials including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Initiates routine and some non-routine correspondence.
  • Serves as the department's point of contact for travel requests, expense reports, and other travel documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborates and partners with peers in businesses/functions as well as Executive Admin/CEO.
  • Schedules meetings, team meetings and events (internal and external).
  • Maintains up-to-date calendar.
  • Maintains and orders department office supplies.
  • Processes invoices for payment.
  • Captures and coordinates candidate interview process (e.g. scheduling, communication, etc.).
  • May manage independent projects making decisions and acting as a key contributor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years related high level administrative/ clerical experience.
  • Prior experience supporting multiple executives.

Career Level Dimensions

  • Typical Training/Experience: Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
  • Problem Complexity: Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Autonomy: Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
  • Leadership: May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
  • Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
