Exec Director, HR Business Partner - Corporate Affairs

Responsibilities
- Set the talent strategy.
- Identify the talent levers that matter most for, and focus the business on a clear, prioritized set of actions that drive meaningful impact for our people and the business.
- Champion the colleague experience.
- Stay close enough to the team to understand how people are really doing, and act early to keep engagement strong across a group of high-performing experts.
- Build leadership capability and succession strength.
- Help current leaders grow into their roles while building a strong pipeline, so the function has capable leaders ready to step up.
- Serve as a trusted advisor.
- Be the person Corporate Affairs leaders turn to for their most complex talent and organizational challenges, offering sound judgment and practical solutions rather than process for its own sake.
- Deliver core talent programs with quality.
- Own performance management, talent reviews, workforce planning, and other core HR cycles, ensuring each has a clear, measurable impact on the business.
- Partner on organizational design.
- Work closely with the leader of Corporate Affairs to ensure the function is well led, staffed with the right people in the right roles, and positioned to deliver on its mission now and in the future.
- Maintain a clear view of the talent landscape.
- Build and maintain visibility into leadership and talent needs across Corporate Affairs, so the organization knows what capabilities exist today and what to develop or hire for.
- Represent Corporate Affairs within the HR Function.
- Bring the Corporate Affairs perspective into company-wide HR decisions, and ensure what is agreed at the leadership level is understood and applied within Corporate Affairs and ensure the needs of Corporate Affairs employees and leaders are reflected in how HR plans and prioritizes its work company-wide.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Look for ways to improve how the Corporate Affairs team works, develops its people, and models the practices it expects of the broader business.
Qualifications
- 10+ yrs of HR management and leadership experience supporting senior leaders in complex organizations ideally at the C-Suite and in highly regulated functions
- A high level of personal accountability and comfort holding others accountable for outcomes
- Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify root causes of people issues and recommend effective solutions leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience running large, cross-functional HR programs in a complex organization, including coordinating with specialist HR teams to deliver joined-up outcomes
- A track record of building trust with senior leaders and being sought out as a strategic advisor

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legal, compliance, government affairs, or policy organizations
- Location Northeast: NY, NJ, RI or CT (preferred near an office)

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $131,500.00 - $303,195.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
