Job Overview

The UC College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Executive Director, Business Administration to oversee the financial, operational, administrative, and strategic activities of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience. This role functions as the most senior-level financial and administrative officer.

Essential Functions

  • Direct all business operations of the department, including accounting, payroll, purchasing, budgets, asset management, contract negotiations, audits, etc.
  • Develop business plans for new and ongoing business ventures.
  • Participate and attend College of Medicine/UC Physicians committees and task forces, and continue education activities.
  • Lead the long-term strategic planning process to ensure the financial health of the department.
  • Inform College of Medicine/UC Physicians senior management on issues affecting the department.
  • Manage facilities within the department, including new space development, renovations, and relocations.
  • Support compliance activities, including research, regulatory compliance, clinical trials, billing, etc.
  • Support and direct marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Support the development efforts of the department.
  • Support the enforcement of the corporate practice plan.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical physician group, medical school, university, research organization, or healthcare organization.
  • MBA or MHA preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment, no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
