Excellerate Plant Manager
About the role
The Plant Manager role is strategic and people-driven and will lead all aspects of manufacturing operations within our facility. This role is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team culture. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, a commitment to developing people, and a passion for operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and vision for plant operations, driving a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Inspire and develop leaders across Production, Materials, Quality and Engineering
- Delivering key business results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
- Drive Operational Excellence through Lean tools, systems thinking and problem-solving
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain to support business objectives

- Monitor KPIs and take proactive steps to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and drive customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
- Act as a change agent—driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and innovation
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management or a related field. (Master’s preferred)
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar experience preferred
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including 3+ years as a Plant or Operations Manager, with a proven track record of implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing principles
- Bridges strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to lead through influence, set clear expectations, and hold teams accountable
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems, with a consistent focus on driving operational excellence
- Experienced in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing safer, more efficient practices across operations
- Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, and skilled in using the Choosing By Advantages (CBA) decision-making methodology
- ERP systems experience is preferred
Qualifications
- Up to 15% travel depending on business needs
- This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs
